Hi,

Thanks for being a member of my traffic and conversion sites.

This is the first Wednesday Wisdom email in my new content schedule. Wednesday will now be devoted to talking about the business, marketing, and sales fundamentals and strategy that are part of Pillar # 2 (Master Your Strategy and Fundamentals) of the 3 Pillars of Success Mastery.

If you haven't seen the video on the 3 Pillars of Success Mastery, then you can watch it by clicking here. Of course, to get more in-depth training on all of the 3 pillars, then you can join the Quick Start Coach Monthly Training and Coaching program where I teach 3 sessions a week on these concepts.

If you want any success in sales and marketing, then you have to understand that the person who commands the attention of the prospect is the one who will make the sale.

Simple in theory, but harder to execute in practice.

Just because you have visitors coming to your website does not mean that you have their attention. A big email list or social media following does not guarantee that you will have their attention. All those things mean is that you have a way to send a message to them, it doesn't mean they will read or care about it.

Getting their attention and keeping their attention needs to be your goal.

However, most people do the wrong things in this area. They use the same "ho hum" marketing, stale email copy, and social media drivel and then wonder why no one is clicking, liking, sharing, or buying.

Most people fail in marketing, so if you do what most people do, then you will fail.

Instead, you need to stand out. How you do that is up to you, but it should reflect who you are.

If you are a helping person who cares about their audience, then stand out by being the most helpful expert that they follow. If you emails and content are loaded with value, then they will read them.

I often tell my coaching clients that if you want to get and keep someone's attention, then you need to be in the top 10 of the people they follow.

Most people subscribe to hundreds of experts, or follow them on social media. I know that I do. However, there are only 5 to 10 of them that truly have my consistent attention. By this, I mean that I read almost all of their emails or social media content. When I am doing triage on my very full inbox, I delete most of the emails without opening them ... but not if they are from my top 10.

How do you get on the Top 10 List of a good number of people in your audience?

You consistently deliver content that they find entertaining or educational. Ideally, content that is both entertaining and educational. You can't trick people into engaging over the long term. They either find you valuable, or they don't.

Entertaining and educational content is not an easy thing to create. That is why you have to focus energy on getting better at these skills all the time. If your content is boring, then the only way to fix it is to learn how to write better, create better images, and shoot better videos. It isn't talent that puts people on the Top 10 List, it is their focus on how to do better all the time.

The cream will naturally rise to the top.

Hope you found that useful. As I said above, you can get 3 sessions each week taught by me personally as part of the Quick Start Coach Monthly program. Watch the video and get signed up.
